Re: Alpha Proxies and normal VP9

While we are on the topic of Proxies.

Can you explain the difference between VP9/mp4 and VP9/WebM

And is there any reasons we would want Mpeg2/MXF? Isnt that all CPU based?

Re: Alpha Proxies and normal VP9

SO I am not getting the alphas with VP9.  I am using the VP9.mov version. The Thumbnail should show alpha as well. This makes programming with a client over your shoulder in pre viz very worried.

Alpha Proxies and normal VP9

I have been playing around with the different tasks of making the preview files.  The addition of having alpha is very much appreciated.  However now I have to choose.  Is there a way to have VP9 the default and then just any content that I have that is alpha i make into pro res 4444?  I am assuming...

I have not looked at core usage while that is running.  I will try that next and report back.

Control of Content Placement

I really want to be able to control where files are stored and pulled from.  This is very useful for moving projects, having multiple people work on projects and such.  Right now I am storing and using my files in a file structure like this c:/pixera/"showname"/Showfiles/"show revision"  I seem to b...

Parallel Conversion Tasks

Was wondering what sets the limits of this and do processors with multiple cores/threads help. On my Razer the most I can set this number to be is 5. However i have a 6 core processor. Also some of our machines have many more cores.  Would love to find the best way to adjust this number.

Re: Jump to Events

Yes that works. It is not in the shortcut document though.  May want to update that when you can.  Only thing that is weird is that it also considers the end of a container a key frame.  So if you have a bunch of containers spaced it is not so happy. Not the end of the world but a small note.

Jump to Events

Is there not a way to quickly jump thru Events with a key combo and arrows?   Like I want to quickly look at the start of each event ( q) that I have in the show.

Re: LED Screen larger then one output

Thanks you.  However if I aggregate the screens doesn't that help with texture processing ( old pandora brain)  Or does the setting not really matter in Pixera for that?  Mosaic is all that matters?

If that is the way what is the aggregate function utilized for?
