Connecting Director with Pixera Mini

Hello,
Just received a Mini. But somehow i could not find any documentation how to make it visible to
another machine where is a Director version of Pixera. They are in same ip network range.
Like VNC and everything works to both. Avio can also see both machines but not Pixera software.
In old RX times they appeared almost itself to each other.
Should the network servers appear in "mapping output" list or where ?

The pixera version is beta 1.1.27

Hi Kai,

well that sounds that you are just missing one point within Pixera itself.
In Pixera there is a option called "Discovery" - you can find this setting in the options itself.
In this menu you can set filters for your network, to be more specific you can declare which Pixera should find which one within a specific ip range.
As example if your Pixera Mini has the ip 10.20.30.99
To find your Mini from the local pixera you can enter now 10.20.30.0
Then everything in that 10.20.30.x range will be discovered.
But you can also enter the ip directly from your client like 10.20.30.99
With "Show Discovery" you can see if the engine is visible already.
Once visible check the mapping tab, the new client should be there too for assigning the outputs!

Please note that the same Pixera versions must be running on both pc's.
Also the Presence has to be started.
Let me know your result.

Just to add to that:
Presence.exe can be found in the pixera.exe directory. Subfolder Presence is the presence.exe.
In there you will find the presense_add_to_autostart.bat
If you run that presence will start automatically upon the next boot.

Have a good one
Oliver

Hi, Yes everything works now nicely ! Next week, bigger burnout tests !

I noticed also that if there is nothing connected to "slave" machines output, you don´t see anything in master output selection.
For Mini, it has a NVidia Quadro so you can load EDID there. And possibly lock it and simulate outputs to Pixera.
However I didn´t find similar EDID manager software as you had in previous wings machines.
Is it coming ?
Or which way you prefer to lock video card outputs to certain EDID etc.

That sounds great!

Well, if there's nothing connected to the PX mini physically and also no edid was loaded then it's a normal state that you can't playout (see anything in the output selection).
So either you connect a physical source to it so that the graphic card notice an edid or you load one from yourself into nvidia.
As you noticed, currently there is no edid manager like in previous wings engines available but we are discussing such an option.
If you just want to simulate an output then it's the best to load an individual edid via the nvidia control panel into the output!

The normal way on the PX Mini is to connect the source physically, export the projector/display edid via Nvidia and load it again into the corresponding output.
